Become extended family for one or more of our Mission Partners by becoming a CARE Team member.

What is CARE Team?

Our desire is for each of our Mission Partners to have a group of Advocates to encourage and care for them "from home" as they dedicate their lives to advancing His Kingdom around the world. Our goal is to better care for the needs of our Mission Partners and to increase the awareness and passion of our church family for changing lives through Jesus Christ, locally and around the world.

The Mission Partner Advocate's Duties include:

1. Praying for the Mission Partner:

   • Pray for the Mission Partner, family and team members;
   • Pray for their ministry;
   • Pray for the country;
   • Pray for specifics referenced in correspondence.
   
   

2. Establishing strong relationships with the Mission Partner by communicating with them and exchanging prayer requests:

   • Receive the Mission Partner's prayer letters and correspond at least every month by letter or email. Call when possible;
   • The goal is to establish a close friendship and keep our Mission Partners informed about Christ Church happenings in which they may be interested.
   
   

3. Making known the Mission Partner's needs and visiting schedule to the Global Ministries Leadership Team:

4. Assisting the Mission Partner as possible when they visit the area:

   • Potentially have the Mission Partner stay with you or help to arrange housing and/or transportation as needed;
   • Coordinate with your Global Ministries Leadership Team representative to arrange speaking/presentation opportunities for the Mission Partner.
   
   

5. Hosting a gathering in your home or having the Mission Partner come to your small group to share their ministry:

   • This is a great opportunity to invite your friends to get to know our Mission Partners;
   • Your small group might want to "adopt a Mission Partner" and do special projects to support the Mission Partner.

How Do I Choose a Mission Partner?
Do you already know one of our Mission Partners? Is there a particular Mission Partner family that has children close to your children's ages? Is there a particular country, people group, or area of the world that God has laid on your heart? Is there a certain type of ministry for which you feel burdened?

Prayerfully review our Directory of Mission Partners and seek God's direction. You may be led to choose immediately, or you may want to correspond with several Mission Partners for a number of months before you choose. We are available to assist you.

To whom can I go to with questions or reports?
As a Mission Partner Advocate, your primary contact will be with a member of the Global Ministries Leadership Team.

How long must I commit to being a CARE Team member?
We ask for a minimum commitment of 1-2 hours per month for at least one year. At the end of the year you can choose whether to continue your relationship and/or whether to become an Advocate for another Mission Partner.

How do we celebrate our Mission Partners and what God is doing around the world?
Once annually we will have a Global Ministries Community Rally. This is a time to bring together the Leadership Team, Advocates, Mission Partners, and others who might be interested in sharing or hearing about what God is doing around the world.
